Test lead | Implementation of a new CRM-system
XX, Q2 XX - XX
X is a Scandinavian IT infrastructure company with a turnover of SEK X billion and X employees.
X had launched a new CRM and contract management system which was in use by their customers. They needed help to lead the test and development of the system to make it more robust.
X was brought in as a test lead and had a close dialogue with the team of testers, the software developers and the company’s COO. X set up, performed, prioritized and evaluated user test cases to ensure the quality level. Other tasks included communicating about the test process and its vision to developers, internal stakeholders and to X’s external customers. X also helped recruit and train newly hired testers.
X’s work resulted in bugs being discovered and fixed continuously. In addition to this and thanks to the insights X gained as a tester, X also contributed to the development of new features together with the software developers. X was appreciated for X’s holistic approach, structure and leadership skills.
Technical project manager | Several projects within system development
X (consultant via X), Q3 20XX - Q2 20XX
X is a broadcasting company with SEK X billion in turnover and
X employees.
X needed help managing a number of projects within system development. The goal of the first project was to develop a new system for quiz questions for X’s quiz program X and thus digitize the previous paper handling. The goal of the second project was to develop a system that enabled a central image transcoding system and flow to all of X and its external partners. The goal of the third and final project was to phase out an older material handling system in favor of a new one that was delivered by external suppliers and which included a procurement.
X was brought in as project manager for the development and X coordinated five different teams of developers simultaneously in three geographical locations. The work included data migration, system integration, testing, collection and prioritization of requirements, education, design and configuration. Over time, XX role developed towards product owner and Scrum master. XX responsibility included, for example, the development and optimization of X’s Public Schedule XML feed, which delivers tableau information and metadata to external subscribers, such as X and X.
The results of X’s work were that the above-mentioned systems were delivered on time and within budget. This despite several hardships, such as unclear requirements and expectations, as well as non-existent communication in one of the projects prior to X’s arrival. X came in and managed to change that culture and was appreciated for identifying and removing obstacles quickly. X was also appreciated for being versatile and good at adapting X leadership style as a Scrum master to the group’s specific needs.
